Black cumin seed oil has exceptional health properties that have already been appreciated by the rulers of ancient Egypt, which is why it was called the gold of the pharaohs.
It contains many health-promoting substances: in about 85% it consists of unsaturated fatty acids, which consist of: linoleic acid (omega-6) - about 60%, oleic acid (omega-9) - about 25% and alpha-linolenic acid ( omega-3) - about 1%. In addition, black cumin oil contains vitamin E, beta-carotene, sterols, biotin, numerous micronutrients and antioxidants. However, the most important compound found in black cumin oil is thymoquinone - a component of essential oil of black seed seeds, thanks to which the oil has activity, painkillers, as well as protective against renal and liver parenchyma. However, most importantly, thanks to him, black seed oil, like the seeds themselves, has a potential anti-cancer effect. The second ingredient is nigellone, which also has a strong anti-inflammatory and antihistamine effects. Another substance characteristic of black cumin is the alkaloid nigellin.
Numerous studies show that black cumin oil caused the death of tumor cells or inhibited their development. In the Middle East, it was used as a remedy for numerous stomach problems, such as gastritis, gastric influenza, reflux and gastric and duodenal ulcers. Anti-ulcer properties have been scientifically confirmed. The research shows that black seed oil is effective in combating Helicobacter pylori - a bacterium that is one of the causes of peptic ulcer disease. In addition, the oil proved effective in the case of the Schistosoma mansoni fluke (schistosomiasis), affecting the improvement of liver function and immune system altered in Schistosoma mansoni infections.
Clinical studies show that the oil causes a significant reduction in glucose, prolactin, as well as triglycerides and cholesterol levels. In turn, due to the fact that black cumin oil reduces glucose, it can prevent the development of type 2 diabetes.
In folk medicine, black cumin is also widely used. It is used to treat allergies and chronic respiratory problems. Positive effects on these diseases have not been confirmed scientifically, however, our clients' experience indicates a significant improvement in non-suffering animals.
Black cumin oil is also known for its disinfecting and antibacterial properties, and as a means to accelerate the healing of minor wounds and leveling superficial scars.
The popularity of Black cumin oil grew very much when in 2014 an article appeared in the "Jugend forscht" proving its strong tick repellency. Additionally, on the basis of other scientific results, fleas repellency has also been proven. For this purpose, the oil should be fed directly into the dog's / cat's mouth or spread in drinking water. It can also be used externally by rubbing the dog / cat locally.

Important: Black cumin seed oil contains a large amount of essential oils, which is why cats should be used with caution. In the prevention of parasitism, coconuts can be successfully used in cats, which is perfectly tolerated by them.
The use of black cumin seed oil in dogs suffering from epileptic seizures and pregnant females should be consulted with a veterinarian. In these cases, we recommend using coconut oil.
